Committed to the Highest Standards

CARF Accredited

Chilliwack Community Services has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) since 2003.

CARF is an independent, nonprofit organization focused on advancing the quality of services you use to meet your needs for the best possible outcomes. The mission of CARF is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of persons served.

The Ministry of Children and Family Development in British Columbia recognizes CARF for both contracted community living agencies and child, youth, and family services.

Accreditation is awarded after CARF specialists conduct an exhaustive review and evaluation of all aspects of services, staff, policies and procedures. It is the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization like ours and reflects the passion of our staff and quality of our programs.

The Accessibility and Cultural Diversity committee was created to meet Chilliwack Community Services’ (CCS) best practices, ensuring CARF accessibility and cultural diversity standards are met. Our purpose is to identify barriers in the area of Architecture, Environment, Attitude, Finance, Employment, Communication, Transportation, and Community Integration as they apply to CCS programs.
