I am tired. I am exhausted. I am overworked and I feel under-appreciated. I feel like people expect me to be Super Helen, and they will settle for nothing less. I feel like the things I do aren’t recognized, and I don’t feel like I’m appreciated. I don’t feel seen today. I am in serious need of some tender loving care.. of someone, anyone, even a perfect stranger, to ask me “How are you, and how can I help you?” I am in the mood to receive today. And I’m not afraid of saying it.

Please give to me. Please.

I think we all have days like this every now and then. In fact I had mine yesterday. It seemed like everyone wanted something from me but no one could even say a simple thank you =/

Just from reading the little bit in your “about” page I can tell you’re a good person and that’s something you should certainly be appreciated for, because it seems there are fewer good people on this planet each day. So know that you’re appreciated for being one of those good people :)

i think it’s hard to say this sort of thing because you’re admitting that you’re vulnerable. i imagine in your job that you get “lost” in other’s problems often… and you do become invisible.
