I think it’s time for another load of laundry this weekend — I try to do at least one load of laundry per week, though last week it didn’t really get done (half — it’s dried, cleaned, but not put away) because we had such a busy weekend with Chelsea staying over and Jen and Brandon coming to visit (all good things!!). If we manage to keep the house relatively clean throughout the week, and clean once a week on the weekends, we don’t have to do big cleaning and the house stays in relatively good shape. It makes me feel less stressed too. I even like doing little things like putting pens away that are strewn all over the our tables, or dusting the bookshelves so that I don’t sneeze every time I look at them, or even putting the recycling away (we have 2 HUGE bags of recycling in the kitchen to go out, which needs to be done because the bags are starting to overflow).
A clean house is a comfortable house. I like seeing clean surfaces on tables, chairs, and shelves. Silly me. I guess I make a pretty good housewife after all, eh? (Even though I’m far from being a stay-at-home wife.)
