My bank the other month told me that I should have at least two checking accounts because that would keep me much safer against thievery and identity theft. I suppose so, but I don’t find the use in it when I also carry both check cards in the same wallet. I guess that kind of defeats the purpose, eh. Heh. I certainly won’t be carrying both of them during our honeymoon, though. That’s just asking for trouble, in my opinion.
One of my coworkers got her purse stolen recently. She was devastated. It left me thinking, “Damn. I keep a lot of shit in my purse and wallet.” I think I need to downgrade and not make myself so vulnerable to attachment. I suppose it’s a good thing to be able to just wave it all aside. Actually, when I really think about it, the only thing that would really piss me off if I ever got my bag stolen is that I would also lose my calender, and my USB plug. Other than that, everything else is replacable. It would just take a shitload of work replacing all the legal crap, but that’s just time, not memory. I still think it’s time to downgrade, though.
