Sunday Tidbits
So another day has come and gone for the weekend. I really miss my 3-day weekends. I haven’t done it in a while, what with lots of doctor’s appointments and playing catch-up with missed appointments over the week. Not to mention the paperwork at work. I’m so behind I feel like I’ll never be able to catch up. Ick! Plus, I dorkily and stupidly left my U drive at work on Friday, so this weekend I don’t even have the stuff to work with even if I had the time to do it (and I kind of do!).
Tonight at 8ish, I’m going to be making the long trip down to Seattle to pick up my baby sister from the airport. She’s visiting for a week. Then on Wednesday afternoon, I’m picking up my brother. They’re both staying till Sunday, so that’s really awesome. We’re going to be doing up the baby’s room a bit. Get the first coat in before we start designing the walls and drawing and painting in the jungle theme. Lily Bean is going to love her room so much!!
Last night, Dave and I went to his father’s annual dinner work party. He’s a pretty successful real estate agent, and every year he throws this extravagant dinner party for all his clients during that year. What’s really awesome is that the family gets to go regardless of whether or not we’ve been a client. Heh. So we get free food. What’s even more awesome is that all the ladies in the house get free jewelry. Our numbers get picked and we come up to pick any jewelry piece we want. This year, I got an awesome round diamond necklace. Very pretty. I’m wearing it now. I was looking at other jewelry pieces, from bulky luxury watches to giant earrings, but nothing screamed out at me like the beautiful round diamond necklace. Woo. Score!!
