Today, I went to my first me-only yoga class since last November (when we found out I was pregnant). During the pregnancy, I went to prenatal yoga classes, but they weren’t as “hardcore” as the classes I was taking originally, of course, since they were only geared towards pregnant women. I appreciated it then, since I could hardly move and breathe right when my tummy got really big. And bending over was a task in and of itself, so I got tired easily. Now that I am back to my normal self and can actually see my knees again, I am craving regular, hardcore, hang-upside-down yoga like white on rice, or magnets to refrigerators. I thought I was going to be easily tired today in class, or that I couldn’t do a lot of the positions, but I did better than I thought I would. I’m still adjusting, it appears, to having a bigger boobage in front. Makes lying on my tummy not so comfortable anymore. But hooray for me, I went through the whole 1.5-hour class without having to rest! I did all the poses, and held them as long as my teacher did. I am so glad to be back!! Before I know it, I’m going to have that awesome flat tummy again. It’s getting there!
