What do you want most for Christmas? – This is a 2-part answer to a simple question. First, I want to get more BumGenius AIO One-Size diapers for Lily Bean. Second, for myself, I want more yoga package classes from Sol Yoga and/or hot stone massage gift certificates from the same place.
Do you believe in Father Christmas? – No. If he ever existed, he’s long forgotten about me, so I don’t believe in him.
What is your favorite food at Christmas? – Errmm… the garlic bread?
Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? – I have a list, but haven’t started on anything, no. Grrr.
Have you finished your Christmas shopping yet? – Omg, I haven’t even started. We\’re so behind this year!

What is your best memory of Christmas? – My first Christmas with Dave and his family. My family never celebrated it before, so it was “Bah Humbug” before then.
What do you look forward to most at Christmas? – Giving people presents and watching them open them. I love seeing everyone\’s faces when they open my gifts.
What are you doing for Christmas this year? – I believe we’ll have my brother and sister with us this Christmas, which is a great blessing. We’ll be spending it with my in-laws for dinner.

What kind of Christmas tree do you have? – A fake one, and we decorate it blue and white every year.
Do you take part in a secret santa? – We used to with Dave’s sibs, but we’ve decided to nix that so that we have more presents for all the kids.

Have you ever had a white Christmas? – It snowed a bit last year, and was sort of white, but not too white.
How early do you wake up on Christmas morning? – Not too early – about 9am, which is my usual time. This year it will be earlier, as my sibs will be with us, and Lily Bean wakes up earlier.
Do you still get a stocking? – Nope, but we’ll be filling stockings this year. How exciting!

What is your Christmas wish? – That everyone I know and love are happy and healthy.

Favorite LJ friend? Hmm.. I love them all, but I think my longest internet friend on LJ is Wendy. She’s my net sis, and she’s been there when I was just an internet virgin!
What is the story of your first kiss?
Coincidentally, like Ronni’s, my first kiss was with a dude named Adam, too. Huge crush on him, it was after school sometime, I was just gonna walk away and walk home after hanging out with him, and he pulled me back and stole a kiss. It was surreal, and I remember thinking, while I was walking home, “Can people tell just by looking at me that I just got my first kiss?”
What is your favorite flavor of jelly/jam.
None. I don’t like jelly or jam.
What color nail polish is the sexiest for women’s toes?
I don’t paint my toe nails and I think it’s weird, so none.
What is your favorite thing about kissing, or kissing someone new?
The contact. Heh. And the fact that it usually comes with touching and hugging. It’s nice to be that close to someone. I remember kissing Dave on our wedding day, with him in his awesome tuxedo and all. So wonderful.

I sleep with them close. In fact, there are barriers to keep them close because Tink likes to open closet doors while we’re sleeping and mess around with whatever she can find inside. Weirdo cat.

I don’t always. Sometimes I do just to have them around for travel purposes. Heh.

Tucked out. Totally. I can’t stand the feeling of being all tucked in and “trapped.”

I thought this week’s Friday Five was ridiculous, so I went around looking for another Friday meme, and here it is: Friday Fun.
1. What is your idea of a perfect relaxing day?
Doing nothing but playing with Lily Bean all day long (besides changing her and feeding her and bathing her, that is).
2. Your first real boyfriend/girlfriend,… do you look back fondly or do you get the shudders? Where are they today?
I get the shudders. I think it’s because I was in love with love and not with him, so I settled for a nice dude who didn’t really have a lot in common with me. He’s in Australia, I presume. He’s semi-goth now, I think? Weird.
3. What was your favorite subject in school?
English, hands down. I’ve always loved to write and read and create poetry and prose. Writing essays was a good challenge for me. I still enjoy it, but more on a part-time, hobby-like basis now.
4. What is your favorite show on TV? Favorite book? Favorite song?
Favorite show right now is Heroes. Other shows that come close are Smallville and The Office. Favorite book has been and always will be The Secret Garden. Favorite song has been and always will be Sarah McLachlan’s “Song for a Winter’s Night.”
5. Who is your celebrity crush?
Probably Jude Law. He’s yummy with that sultry British accent.
6. To dye or not to dye the hair? If so, what color is your natural hair (if you remember!) and what color do you dye it?
Right now, my firm stance is that I will never dye my hair. I believe in going very natural. I’ve gotten a few gray hairs already (first ones I found were during graduate school — gee, I think it had something to do with the stress!). I’ve promised myself that I will be one of the very few women nowadays who will be proudly sporting her pepper-gray hair when she gets older. I hope I keep that promise. So far so good! My natural hair color is black.

Lovely Liz got me motivated to do this particular post, called Confessions.
- I don’t drink as much water as I should. I just keep forgetting!
- When no one’s looking, I sneak in handfuls of rice into my mouth from the rice cooker.
- Occasionally, I pick my nose when I think no one’s looking. Especially when there’s a huge ass booger in there.
- I also pick Lily’s nose when there’s a booger hanging off the edge. That annoys me.
- I have weird dreams about exes in my past. They sometimes consist of me going back to tell them off, other times they consist of us making amends and becoming friends. I get very confused about these dreams, especially since I don’t think of them at all during the day, nor have I talked to any of them in years.
- I am secretly hoping for lots of color ink for my birthday this year.
- Even though money is tight, I just bought two pairs of jeans from American Eagle. I hardly shop there because it’s so damn expensive. I feel like I deserved some “me” shopping though!!
- I am still recovering from my pregnancy brain, and find that I still have an iffy memory when it comes to appointments and such. However, oddly, I have the best memory when it comes to Lily Bean!

Welpers, it’s the weekend again, and I’ve done a very poor job at keeping this site updated, haven’t I? To re-cap what’s been going on during this week: absolutely nothing. Heh. I did a whole lot of being achy, cleaning, working (on reports), a doctor’s visit, feeling Bean tumbling and rumbling inside my uterus, talking and hanging out with Dave, playing with Tink, revelling in the baby’s room. Rewind, repeat. It feels good not to have to go to work everyday, and wake up and sleep whenever I want to. Other people are doing things for their summer vacation, like making a Las Vegas travel or going to Australia (my SIL!). Me? I’m here waiting for a baby to be born. I’m 38 weeks along today, which means Baby Bean can come any minute now. I have absolutely no feeling regarding whether or not I think she’s gonna come early or late. I had thought she was going to come late (after July 12), but symptoms suggest otherwise right now (increased pelvic pressure pain, her head has already dropped down to my pelvic area, a couple of false contractions, my back hurting like a b*tch, more tiredness, etc.). So I don’t know. I will plead the 5th on what my gut feeling is. Dave thinks she’s going to come July 23. Seems like such a long way from now. Other people think she’s going to come this weekend. Realistically, the only one who knows when she’s going to make her debut is her. And maybe the Universe. But other than that, it’s completely random. We’re just sitting around playing the waiting game now.
I’m already getting several people email me, or call me up, asking, “Is the baby there yet?!!” Well, no, ya silly dorks!! With me being so hypervigilant with keeping baby news updated everywhere, do you think I’d have kept it from the internet world if Baby Bean has arrived? Of course not! You’d better believe that there will be at least 300 photos posted all over the place within the first 24 hours (okay, maybe not, but you get the idea). Heh.
I’ve been a little more grumpy than usual too. I believe it’s because of the physical achiness that comes with being so far along in the pregnancy. I’m trying to hold it together, but the other day, while watching Joy Luck Club with Dave (it happened to be on tv, and it’s one of my favorite movies), I ended up sobbing throughout it. It was kinda silly. It’s a sad movie to begin with, but dude, I was SOBBING. Dave came by and laughed at me and held me and said I was so cute and beautiful, and kissed my tears. And I sobbed even harder. And then the other night my back was hurting so badly, nothing I could do could’ve relieved it. No laying down position made it better, no side position made it better, no standing or sitting position made it better. I was so frustrated, I started crying. Talk about hormonal.

Around 10 or so. I usually wear the same 3 or 4 pairs, though.
Seriously… Where does the other sock end up?
In the dark abyss of lost socks. I don’t know. I’ve always wondered that myself. I just don’t get it. There are about 3 socks right now that don’t have their partners and I’ve done every single load of laundry (or so I thought), so where the heck are they?!

Blame? Erm. Tink and Dave, for making me feel so darn good about my life. My mood is pretty good right now. Oh, and not thinking about things like balance transfer credit card probably makes me happy too. Heh.

Yes, my right arm. I was put in a cast for about a month. This was when I was 5 years old. It hurt like frick.

How big is your bed? Big enough?
Queen size. It’s not big enough. We have more pillows than we have space for, but that is mostly due to my pregnancy: I can’t get comfortable and I need lots of pillows against me.

- Nothing. I’ve grown to really love him the way he is and we’ve accepted each other for our differences.

- Yes. Truly, he is my soulmate. My best friend. It’s almost weird how we found each other.

- His procrastination. Charming most of the time, annoying at other times.
- He also complains that I’m sometimes *too* on top of things too, though. Haha.

- Politics, parenting style, our guts about people, etc.

- Hm… I don’t remember – we had a “first weekend date” really. We went on top of the science building at UCI.

- In our home right now, in our pajamas.

- Yes, for about 5 years.

- No one. I didn’t have a wedding party. I didn’t want to exclude any of my close friends, or have to choose.

- Oh yes, very much so.

- We want children. Definitely. Probably two.

- We’re generally two peas in a pod. Our differences are pretty minor.

- Implicitly. One of the few I trust unconditionally.

- Yes. I think I’m the only one he truly trusts. Well, and his mother.

- Generally — they’re his family. Hehe.

- The Mayan Riviera in Mexico! We’d love to go on one of those European cruises one day.

- Generally, but I watch more than he does.
