Jenbug and I were talking about credit and what our credit is like. She knows her credit number, and now I’m curious about what mine is. I think mine is pretty darn good, but I want to know the actual number anyway. Bad Credit really sucks, and I know a lot of my friends and even some of my family members could use some help with bad credit. The site helps people with bad credit history get back on their feet, giving strategies and real-life solutions out of their credit debt. That is definitely needed, yo, especially in our society where buying things on credit is deemed necessary for whatever reason!! We need to be better with money we don’t have, people!

Wealth Expo is the major seminar that is created for investors in order to expand the way they do business and make money. If you’re into that sort of thing, like many of my family and friends are, this will very likely interest you a great deal. Investment big rigs and leaders of every type of industry will be there to give their speeches and tips over how to expand your business or how to even start a business. Looking over their curriculum of classes and speakers, there are quite a few I would be interested in, including the talk regarding how to be successful in a real estate market that is troubled. Some of our family members are real estate agents and while the market is relatively good right now, I bet they would want to know more about how to keep it good when it’s not so good in the general population.
The Expo will be held in New York from October 19 to October 21 of this year. It is sponsored by MyWallSt.net: Your Financial Social Network and is held for 2.5 days, with the first day (October 19) beginning at 1pm and lasting to 6:30pm followed by a cocktail party. There, you can rub elbows with the known investors and learn more of their secrets and tips. The second day is a full day from 9am to 6:30pm with cocktail hour to follow also. The third day is also a full day, from 9am to 4pm, but with no cocktail hour (I’m sure everyone will want to go home by then, after soaking up all that information on all types of investments). Check it out, and participate if you are so inclined to do better in investments and business.

There’s a great new sweepstakes going on right now called the $50,000 College Education Sweepstakes, where all you have to do to win $50,000 is watch some soaps and answer some contests. The sweepstakes is sponsored by the popular soap operas “As the World Turns” and “Guiding Light.” Boy, I wish this was available when I was entering university some 10 years ago! What an awesome sweepstakes. I encourage all and any of you to enter who want to fund your children’s education! Hurry before the opportunity passes. It can’t hurt to try, especially if you’re a soap addict for those shows!

I think it’s time for another load of laundry this weekend — I try to do at least one load of laundry per week, though last week it didn’t really get done (half — it’s dried, cleaned, but not put away) because we had such a busy weekend with Chelsea staying over and Jen and Brandon coming to visit (all good things!!). If we manage to keep the house relatively clean throughout the week, and clean once a week on the weekends, we don’t have to do big cleaning and the house stays in relatively good shape. It makes me feel less stressed too. I even like doing little things like putting pens away that are strewn all over the our tables, or dusting the bookshelves so that I don’t sneeze every time I look at them, or even putting the recycling away (we have 2 HUGE bags of recycling in the kitchen to go out, which needs to be done because the bags are starting to overflow).
A clean house is a comfortable house. I like seeing clean surfaces on tables, chairs, and shelves. Silly me. I guess I make a pretty good housewife after all, eh? (Even though I’m far from being a stay-at-home wife.)

Dave and I are planning our honeymoon as we speak. We’re waiting for his passport to come in so we can actually buy tickets. We’re mostly decided on Hawaii, but that can still change to Mexico or the Caribbean or something like that. Anywhere would be great right now. I just want to get away with my wonderful HUSBAND (yes, I still can’t get used to calling him my husband — it rocks the tongue something awesome). I’ve heard going to Vegas and staying in the Bellagio hotel is also nice too, if we’re inclined to go to Vegas any time soon. Maybe as a vacation. For the honeymoon, we both want something tropical, something hot, something by the ocean, with palm trees and water. We love the water, what can I say. I don’t think we’ll ever move away from it, to tell you the truth.

My mother one day told me about a time when she was going shopping in the mall and one of her tooth crowns came off. She thought she was seriously going to die — both from the embarrassment as well as from the physical pain. She had to pretend nothing was going on and went to the bathroom to try to ease the pain, but wasn’t able to actually get it fixed until much later on. She called me and told me all about it while it happened, and how she didn’t have anything to fix it right at that moment in order to at least go through the rest of her day. How horrible! I imagined what it must have been like for her, to have that ugly pain. I remember when I was a little girl and broke my tooth while running down the street and falling on the sidewalk. I can imagine what that pain was like for my mother. Anything that has to do with the teeth and mouth hurt an awful lot because we’re so hypersensitive there.
Now, looking back at it, I wish that Dentemp OS was available for my mother to use so that she can at least repair the crown in the store and get on with the rest of her shopping. It is an instant pain reliever, allowing her to actually be able to eat on it after only half an hour of setting it in. It’s completely safe to use and tested by the FDA, and approved. I’m going to tell my mother about it so she can be prepared if it ever happens again!

So today has been a good day. Really really busy. I had several clients who are very demanding of my time (one of them even requires that we call them once a day due to the intensity of the case), so I ended up having 5 appointments today. Made them all. Was late to one because Jen and I were goofing off and I mixed up the time when she told it to me (long story, really). It was bizarre but we finally made it and it wasn’t too bad. Another client I spoke with regarding drug rehab and rehabilitation services for her kid, and another one I really connected with. This work is so awesome. I can’t get enough of it. I really like what I do. It’s the greatest feeling in the world. It’s not so much as “helping people” anymore. It’s like it is ingrained in my blood or something. It’s part of who I am now. It surpasses all the cliches that you hear about being a therapist and helping people and blah blah blah. It’s so awesome. I love my life.

I remember back in college, Will had me try some pills that would induce me to eat more, and therefore gain some weight. Vitamins of some sort, I remember. I guess they do the same category of actions as the hoodia diet pills, but reverse: diet pills make me want to not eat as much, while those pills I had in college made me want to eat more. It worked for a while, and I don’t remember any side effects, so I guess it was effective. Don’t know why I didn’t continue taking them. I think my metabolism is just naturally like this: I can eat 5 meals a day (and sometimes do!) without gaining one pound. In fact, sometimes if I skip a meal, I end up losing a pound. Kinda scary when you think of it that way.
I think regardless of how your body is shaped and formed, the important thing to remember is that you must be healthy. Skinny or not, health is key. It should always be key. Exercise because it is good for your heart, your body, your bones, not because you want to look good in a red dress. I always thought that mentality was kind of weird, actually.

Sometimes I wonder how they do it — how my clients do it. What I love about this job is that not only is it rewarding in the way that I get to help people and be of some usefulness to them, I also get a glimpse inside other worlds. I am so impressed with how people deal with changes, crises, bad news, good news, all types of news. I am impressed with the human resilience of our race. Even when they have families going through rough times, like through drug treatment or new pregnancies or having their kids taken away… it is so worth it to see just how other people do it. It makes me less involved and self-absorbed in my own life. It makes me appreciate all life. It makes me give gratitude to living, to life, to love. That through it all, we are all okay, we are all the same yet different. We’re all worthwhile.

Anyone out there own a Dodge? I know several people with Dodges. In fact, Dave owns one. He has a Dodge Neon, 2000 or something like that. Or was it a 1999? I don’t really know the difference. The poor car is slowly coming into pieces. I bet he can use a whole bunch of new accessories for it, including new rear view mirrors (his left one has just completely fallen off, and the poor guy ties it together with a rubber band everyday). I was going through this site for Dodge Charger accessories, and I was looking at all the cool things they have for Chargers. I’m going to surf to see what they offer for other cars too… maybe I can get Dave something for Christmas for his car.
